I found this site before we were engaged and at that time I was also on ultimate wedding--before it got so big--of course I have stayed here and loved it --so now I have been looking for baby sites and came across there version--and you have tro PAY!!
Boy am I glad that LIWeddings listened so quickly to you ladies and have started a baby board--not sure how they can justify charging for chat boards--they have to make money with their sponsors--
Am I the only one that thinks this is crazy?

I noticed that too, and I was so disappointed! My friend had a TTC journal there, and it was so much fun to follow. I always looked forward to having my own, but I absolutely will not PAY to do it. Oh well. I'm just glad LI Weddings put up the baby board.

BTW, I agree that UB is nuts for charging a fee since there are so many other sites!!

You are funny--no not yet-- we have finally decided on our timing--which for me would be much sooner!! but at least we came to a compromise--so now I am starting to prepare--I want to be healthier(not just weight loss) before I get pregnant--ie exercising, eating better etc--
If I was going back to work I think we would be ready sooner but with our goal of me not going back it is really hard---

I was dissappointed too I was really hooked on the house /decorating threads, then they turned around and charge $25 a year to be a memeber. Im no cheapo, but that is ridiculous, why is it free for the other threads, and not some.

I think it's great the LI Weddings has listened to our wants and created boards for us beyond the wedding planning. Lots of us are pregnant or TTC so the Parenting will flourish no doubt - and it's more local than other boards out there. Plus there's history here with everyone too, most of us starting out on the Wedding board together.

A really great preggo site I found is epregnancy.com - they have lots of boards there on everything from TTC to all kinds of Moms-to-be boards. I have settled into the 'Due in October' board but there is of course one for every month. I highly recommend it. Lots of fun & very informative, just like this site.

I was there and I left and so did a whole bunch of my friends..I refuse to pay to chat...there are way too many free sites out there to pay to talk w/o mine and others participating there is no board...
