Re: sutra lounge nyc?

all i know is that i also called that place to throw a party and the woman i spoke to was the worst out of everyone i spoke to. She just had issues with booking their private rooms, when i asked if it will be COMPLETELY private they couldnt guarantee me that, they said it would be partial privacy which I really didn't want. Then when i said about 60 ppl even then she was like well what if you have some ppl stop by for just 10-20 mins, which is what most of your guests will do Which i told her i really hope not, what a stupid statement. She kept trying to convince me to get a table on the dance floor and just 1 table lol and that all I would have to do is purchase 2 bottles, i asked her what i would do with 1 table and 60 guests and 2 bottles she said they can just hang around the whole lounge area. I explained to her that i dont want for ppl to just come out and meet us for drinks and i want to throw a party and we're not 21 where were going to get 1 table and everybody else i invite has to go away from us and stand wherever they find room. Needless to say she really annoyed me, even when i said no i want the private room and i will pay for the bar guarantee myself bc i want to pay for my guests drinks and she said why would i do that

maybe you'll get somebody better on the phone. But I had to SPECIFICALLY ask her if it will be complete privacy in order for her to say no it might not be. She basically said if at any point it got down to 40 guests or so that they would open up the room

I had my bachelorette party at Flute and it was great. It is a champagne bar -- I did it at the Gramercy Park location. if you have any questions, FM me. I am not sure about their private party rooms etc. My friend also had a party for her husband at Madame X, they had their own area and an open bar for I think 2 hours, it was really nice.

thats where I had Dh's party, we had the whole upstairs and we had it from 10pm-3:30am, some of us were there from 8:30 and most showed up around 9:30pm but we were downstairs then, and since i got there early, i was able to get a table with like 3 couches so we all had room.

Re: sutra lounge nyc?

thanks girls!
espo- i called madame x and they were booked for the night i need =(
ive been going nuts looking for spots- i have a small party about 30-40 people... i just want a private space with some sort of open bar. i liked how you were able to just pay the bar guarantee at madame x and the price was right, but i cant find anything else around that price
the lady at sutra said they could give me the downstairs room with a private bar and bathroom and i can do an open bar package, it would cost me a lil more than i wanted to spend tho... but i definitely would like to have peoples opinions before i book! thanks for your help!

this is so stressful lol- i had to wait to get my tax check before i could book so now im pressed for time too!

esquire- thanks for the suggestion- im gonna check out their site

any other ideas/reviews girls? im desperate...lol

try Touch, its a club in the city. They have a private room on the third floor and they were real nice. For me it came down to madame x and touch, i picked madame x bc i knew what it looked like and didnt have time to see touch plus i had space for dancers to perform there. The girl was helpful and the price was similar to Madame X.
