Re: Swan Club

We didn't have our wedding there yet, but we chose this place because we loved the gardens. Since we are taking our pictures at the reception site, we felt that the Swan Club was a great choice. We also liked the building where we're having our ceremony and cocktail hour. I'm looking forward to have our wedding there!

Edited to say: Oops, I forgot I was on the Newlywed site. Makes sense to post your question here. Though I can add that I have heard great reviews. Try a search on this site.

I did not have my wedding there...but I have been there a few times...it really is gorgeous...

and the food is good too...

the only time I realized that there was another party going on was when I went to the bathroom

We had our reception there. Barbara was out maitre de and she was so calm and professional...they opened the cocktail hour very early for our guests and the room looked beautiful! Everyone loved the grounds. The cocktail hour room was perfect. The only things I din't love, was the space for the band. There really wasn't an ideal spot for a large band...we put them against the windows by the cocktail room and it worked. ANd the bathroom- however, I didn't notice another weddingn. The Swan CLub has been very popular the past year. The Trunz family owns it now and the food is great.

We did not have our wedding reception there. However, we did considered it as an option though while narrowing down the choices. We did have a tastings there and brought both mothers for a viewing of all the grounds indoor and outdoor. The outdoor garden is beautiful and the food is okay, the space for the rooms is kindaof small. It is not ideal to fit 150+ guests comfortably in any of their rooms. We had 150 guests, 8 children and 8 vendors which would not be comfortable although the decor is beautiful but decide to go elsewhere for the quality of the food.

Also, be forwarned that you're going to share the garden with at least another bride and groom as they usually have at least 2 weddings going on at the same time. However, they stagger the times for each event. The food was okay IMHO, it was NOT bad but better than an average caterer. For help with venue shopping, try:
