We have booked the Sand Castle but soontobe FI having major issues with them - we are also looking at the Swan Club as a new venue. Any ideas between which to go with - food is important and I know Sand Castle's food is supposed to be great. But as a hall, which would you prefer???

Re: SWAN CLUB vs. SAND CASTLE
I'm sorry I can't really help b/c I haven't been to Swan Club, but I can vouch for SandCastle's food - it is very good. It's a really nice place! Is your FH having major probs with them?

Re: SWAN CLUB vs. SAND CASTLE
Yeah the people are being very rude to him - He called to discuss the payment schedule with them and they told him 'why are you calling we are dealing with Olga (that's me =) )' And i've only met with them once! So that got him aggitated and honestly I don't blame them. He says if this is the way they are going to be why should we have to put up with that.

You're right, with all the $$$ they will be getting from you guys, they should be kissing your butts.. Sorry I couldn't help more. Did you try posting on the BHB board?

Re: SWAN CLUB vs. SAND CASTLE
I was a Sand Castle bride and I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with them. I never had any problems dealing with any of them -- I mostly dealt with Stavroula and then George, and both were equally accommodating.
We had looked at the Swan Club also, and fell in love with their beautiful scenery! As for the food, we were given a free lunch there, which was good, but I have to say that the Sand Castle food was much better. We decided to go with the Sand Castle because of that and the fact that the rooms were bigger.
I hope everything turns out ok with you!

Re: SWAN CLUB vs. SAND CASTLE
I went to Swan Club while shopping for our reception venue and can comment on that (good, bad and my honest opinions), but I've never been to Sand Castle.
Swan Club: Beautiful outdoor garden year-round, well maintained. However, too many brides share the same garden. They staggered the times if there's 3 weddings at the same time (3 separate rooms of course). We had a tasting, verdict on food... okay. It's better than your average caterer, it's NOT bad but IMHO, just okay. Some of the rooms are too small as I was looking for a venue to fit 150 guests comfortably without overcrowding each other. While driving to get to there, we almost missed the road. Road signs in the area are not sufficient and informative.
Hope this helps!

Re: SWAN CLUB vs. SAND CASTLE
Olga, have you thought about Floral Terrace? I think they are owned by the same people as Sand Castle but you may get someone better to deal with. Also, their food is really good!
