I heard a lot of the kids who go to St. Francis in Queens actually live in Nassau. Very scary! It was all over Good Day NY this morn when I was watching.

Re: Swine flu at Queens school
My FSIL stepDad has the Swine Flu. He teaches Aviation all over the country and may have picked it up while flying. He is in San Francisco and feeling like crap, he is getting treated while recovering. He cant even come home because of it.

not at all, no one has died in the US and in Mexico a very small percentage has died.

Re: Swine flu at Queens school
My friend sent this to me because I am going to Mexico in September.
Swine flu: Comparisons to pandemics of the early 20th century are not valid: There were no antibiotics to treat secondary bacterial infections in 1918 -- most flu deaths are actually from pneumonia. Anti-viral meds, like Tamiflu, when administered early, lessen the severity of symptoms and length of flu infections. The reported cases outside of Mexico have been described as 'mild.' Don't freak out.

Yeah, they had a doc on Fox 5 this morning and he was saying we are no where near the situation in Mexico. He said the people that got it just need to be careful that's it. If you're not near these people, you have nothing to worry about.
The school is closed for the next 2 days for cleaning.

I think that as long as you wash your hands, keep them away from your face, and stay away from anyone who MAY be infected.. it will blow over.
