I have an acquaintance who recently got married in September (about 2.5 mos. ago). Their wedding registry still shows some unfulfilled items. It's Bed Bath and Beyond.
Would it be tacky to have their Christmas gifts be from the remaining items on the registry? Is there a chance that they've closed out, and the store just doesn't log it?

OMG, I was just going through my registry there, and was thinking when my family asks what I want, to just go back to my regisry. I think it's a super idea!!

I think thats a fabulous idea. Thats what we were going to do if we were asked what we wanted. You can also ask the store if the registry is up to date. They can help there.

We got some of our remaining registry items (mainly towels) last year for Christmas and were very happy to get them!

i asked for the remaining stuff for christmas .... i want all the stuff of mine and i have alot of it... hardly anyone got us stuff off our registry.

I think that's a great idea! I've had to purchase some of the items left on our registry so I think that's a really good gift....It's something they wanted anyway.
Although their wedding date may have passed, when purchasing something off the registry the item should still get removed from their registry. I know Fortunoff's was still able to remove ours after we purchased the item.
