The Old El Paso one is the best. I dont like ortega or taco bell mix at all.

Re: Tacos...what do you recommend?
if we want actual tacos, we use the old el paso stand and stuff taco kit. it's really good. you can use chicken or beef. we had them last week, and DH broke up the taco shells and made a taco salad. he also added salsa and sour cream, and really liked it.
if you can do without shells, WW has a recipe for mexican sald that's like 5 points. i make that too, and it's really good. it's lean ground beef, pinto beans, green onion, lettuce, tomato, salsa and low fat or ff sour cream. i season the meat w/ sason and adobo because that's how i like it, but i think the actual recipe calls for something else. either way, it's low fat and delicious.

I usually use the box, but lately I'll heat up a soft tortilla with some rotisserie chicken and add WW mexican cheese mix, with some lettuce, medium salsa and guacamole!

We keep it really simple and try to make it a bit healthier -- we do lean turkey meat, a lowfat cheese and then pile on tomatoes and/or salsa and lettuce. We also make sure to do veggies on the side. the salsa adds enough seasoning where you don't really need much else.

Re: Tacos...what do you recommend?
We are having tacos tonight! We do it really simply though, lean ground turkey to which I add healthy doses of cumin, onion powder, chili powder, and garlic powder. We do it on wrap-size whole wheat tortillas with low fat sour cream, shredded cheese, fresh guacamole (just mash up 1 avocado with some garlic, splash of tabasco, splash of lime juice, diced tomatoes), and diced tomatoes. Delicious and not so bad for us I think!

sure! it's pretty simple actually but for some reason we love it! it's our attempt at making mexican at least semi healthy! we use extra lean ground beef (sometimes we use ground turkey breast but it really doesn't have the same effect). season the ground beef with the old el paso low sodium taco seasoning. then, we fill a big bowl with mixed salad greens and put the cooked/seasoned beef on top. then add shredded lowfat cheddar cheese (we like the cracker barrel 2% that comes in a block), 1/2 fresh avocado cut into pieces, lots of cherry tomatoes, low fat sour cream and old el paso taco sauce (not salsa!). it's SO good! i'm really OCD about the order of the ingredients b/c putting the cheese on top of the beef melts it and makes it even better. also, sometimes we add unsalted tortilla chips (i like the trader joe's brand) around the edge of the bowl but it's good either way!
