I was wondering what you ladies did as far as filing married vs single. I was married in November and my accountant told us today that we have to file married. I thought we could still file single since we were not married the whole year, but he said no. Any input? Thanks

I'm pretty sure that's correct. If you were married during the year, that's your status - married. You do have the option of filing married filing jointly or married filing single.
