I started teaching first grade this past February, and I will have first again for September...almost here. The Board of Ed gives teacher's choice, which is a stipend I am guessing for $250. I do not know what I should purchase because I want to spend it wisely. Shouldn't pencils, paper, markers, and other supplies be provided?
So far, I have a calendar but I have to replace the month labels, limited borders/trimmers, and a few baskets.
I do not have holiday decorations, which might be hard to find now, a working printer, a working listening center, books (lol-gotta love the board of ed), etc.
Any suggestions on must have items for the year?

Do you have books for a classroom library? I teach 1st grade too and when I first started I went on EBAY and bought a ton of books.....it was great for DEAR time!!!
Other than that......stuff for the weather, birthday board, tooth chart....do you need border paper? stuff to decorate the windows and doors, labels for coat hooks/cubbies, etc...I can go on and on!
