Thank Goodness The missing Girl Has Been Found

I was so happy to hear that the girl that was taken from her bedroom last summer has been returned to her family. I was just thinking about this story the other day. Just like they said, it was a miracle!!!!

I know, same here, I just hope that he didn't do anything physically to her. It's bad enough all the emotional damage. I heard on the news that his ex-wife said that he was a pedophile (sp?) ... that made me cringe ... the thought!

She probably has alot of emotional healing to do. At least she has her life!

I was in shock when I heard that on the news last night - how often does that really happen after so long? Her and her family are sooo lucky She probably will have a lot of emotional healing to go through, but at least she's alive and seems to be physically ok.

I cannot even believe this. It is a very, very rare thing to find a child alive and healthy after 9 months. I hope and pray that she was NOT physically tormented in ANY way. Of course, mentally she will have scars. And to think that another women helped do this- how could she?

This story was very widely covered in California last year (more than here in NY b/c of proximity to Utah) - just one month after I brought Paul home from the hospital. I shuddered at the thought that my child might not be safe in his own bedroom in our house. It is tormenting for a parent to think about. I cannot even imagine what the Smart's have gone through these past 9 mos. I am so happy this little girl made it home ALIVE.

Aside from the family being overjoyed, did you see how excited the FBI/Law Enforcement officials were. They looked like they were bursting! It is so rare that a case like this has a happy ending!
