Do you send a thank you to someone who shows up to your ceremony, did not give a gift, RSVP'ed yes to the reception but did not show up and then avoided me for a few weeks until I hounded her down to ask why she did not come? Of course I got a lame excuse and an apology but she actually told me she planned on not saying anything in the hopes that 'I was so busy at my reception I wouldn't notice'. Trust me, I noticed everyone who didn't show! I feel under ordinary circumstances I would most definitely send a thank you to someone who came to the ceremony only but I cannot imagine ditching someone's wedding for no real reason and then avoiding them and not even apologizing. If I do send a thank you, how on earth would I even word it!

Re: Thank you ?
I would just write 'Thanks for sharing our special day with us'.
Generic. Politically Correct.Won't cause drama.
Good luck!

Re: Thank you ?
Wow what a weirdo... how could she say that to you about thinking you wouldn't notice??? There are some times you just are supposed to keep your mouth shut!
In any event, just send a thank you saying thanks for coming to the ceremony and be done with it.
