Thank You after the fact!!!

Ok sooo our wedding was 10/10/08.. We recently just received a check for a guest who no-showed to our wedding.

I obviously have to send a thank you now. What would you write in it?

No. They no-showed to the wedding. They said they were having a ruff time in there life.. Then about couple months ago they text my husband that they are sorry they still have the check for us.. Then 4 months after that, we receievd it :)..

Hey at least they sent it right.. i mean we had no-shows who still to this day have not said a word.

BUT karma is a b*tch and so am I :) lol

I just got a beautiful tiffany bowl as a gift from a guest who couldn't make it to my wedding 9 months ago in July! It was a very nice surprise!

That was nice that they sent it. It stinks that they were a no show. THAT would upset me more that a no gift,, or late gift.

We still haven't received anything from them, but honestly i wasn't expecting anything. I just thought it was weird that she emailed me specifically to tell me that and then didn't send anything! Oh well!

yea i agree- we still have some that havent said a word about it- I am literally DYING to say something but the one that I could (my friend) I havent seen- the rest were dh's!

Maybe they were waiting for their tax refund! Could be!! LOL Either way, it was very nice to send a gift, even if it is very late.

I agree w/ the other posters... just write the same thing you wrote to anyone else who didn't come to the wedding but still sent a gift.

me too. I had 2 friends that came to the wedding (one was in my BP) e-mail me after the wedding to tell me that they had forgotten the card and would mail it to me asap. 3 months later and I'm still waiting

I also had one woman whose check bounced. She even e-mailed me about it and said that she was sending another. That was at least 2 months ago.

These people Why bother even lying about it. You no-gifted, that's embarrassing and rude enough as it is. Don't now PRETEND like you're going to send something. It just frustrates me to be lied to. But of course, as Kathryn (I think) said above- guests technically have about a year to send a gift. So who knows what'll happen. lol. Maybe these people will ALSO wait 6 months to send it
