Ok I know etiquette says the outer envelope on the thank-you should be hand written but I have the absolute worst hand writting and I was wondering how terrible would it be to print up the envelopes and of course hand write the thank-you??

The problem I think with printing up the envelopes is that no one will think you did it because of your handwriting... they will think you did it because its so much easier -- and thats the trouble of course!

I did my envelopes on a computer and the thank you note by hand. I had no idea that etiquette said anything about this. Meanwhile, who cares! As long as you thank people, who cares if the envelope is handwritten or not?

KGB, that's what I think because with my handwritting on the outer envelope people will be lucky if they can understand it!!

How is Hubby's handwriting? Would he be willing to share the work with you by addressing all the envelopes?
Also, I find that my terrible handwriting looks better when I use a very fine-tipped pen. You might want to try using a few different types to see what looks better.
But in answer to your question, I don't think it would bad to use a computer to address the envelopes, as long as the inside note is handwritten.
