Thank you help please!

I searched and didn't find what I was looking for...

I FINALLY started doing my Thank yous... yeah, 4 months later (go me! )...hey at least they'll be done before the baby is born!

Anyway.... I was looking for some thank you card sample stuff to write... I'm usually pretty good at this stuff but I'm drawing blanks tonight... wasn't there a website or something that gave suggestions? (Not that dinky one where you enter everything and it spits it back out) Can you give me some samples of what you wrote?

I feel like what I'm writing isn't enough if I don't fill the whole card...hmmmm...maybe I should just write BIGGER...

Honestly, for some people, I did just write bigger. But, here was my general template:

Dear Bob and Mary,

We want to thank you for your very generous wedding gift. Your kindness is very much appreciated! We had so much fun at our wedding and are so happy that you were there to share our very special day (or...We missed you so much and wish that you could have been there to enjoy the fun on our special day!)

Our honeymoon was wonderful! We really enjoyed London and Milan. We hope to return many more times in the future.

We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Mr. and Mrs. John and Susan...

edited to add: If I remembered something in particular, I put that in. For example, at the reception, one woman told me to make sure that WE were in our honeymoon pictures and not to just take pictures of buildings. So, in her card, I wrote:

'Thank you for the advice about actually being IN our honeymoon photos. You were right- the pictures with us in them are much more special than pictures of buildings. '

I used some stuff from www.verseit.com
Some of it was cheesey but some was helpful. I would mix and match from different saying and add something personal when appropriate.

It was so bad but we only said 'Thank you for your generous gift'. If it was a lot of money we added very generous We had 175 to do and I think my hand would have cramped if I wrote anymore

We did almost the same thing but we added 'and for sharing in our special day'

For my thank yous I basically wrote 'Thank you for sharing our special day with us and for your very generous gift. It will be helpful as we continue to remodel the house.

I also included something very personal after that - such as ' We so enjoyed watching the two of you dance on the wedding video. We hope to look that happy years from now'

I found that using something generic in the beginning and they really sharing a personal memory at the end made them seem much more personal and easier to write.
