DH and I have different ideas about our thank you picture. I would love to use a non-traditional fun shot and he is so traditional and wants the picture of us, full lenth at church. We will probably go with the church picture because I seem to get my way with everything else! But, still I'm torn..I know if I go back to DH and say I really think we should use this one, he will give in and say whichever one you want is fine (just to shut me up!). But I don't want to be that person..you know! So here are the pics: I like the closeup one of us, but DH thinks 'it looks like we are in Jamaica with all the palm trees', and I also like the pic of us kissing, whereas he is all about the church one. What to do???
Just remember that the thank you photo gets shrunk down to wallet size and you will be a lot smaller than you are in your proofs. We are so far away in our thank you's,we weren't happy.

Re: Thank you picture
I think you should pick the photo that best represents the day for you. Seeing how great your other photos are, I dont think these do it justice.
Keep in mind that I am the anti portrait lady :D
Edited to say that with the full knowledge that the older set prefer a very traditional photo, I could care less because a)I was paying for it and they were MY thank yous and b)I prefer the compliment 'wow, that photo is very cool/artistic/fun/representative of your style' to 'we are so happy that we can see your dress full length'.

Great pictures. I totally see where both of you are coming from. I love untraditional shots but being most of my family (or more DH's family) is very traditional, I knew they would prefer a traditional photo so I went that route.
I love #3 - think it would make a great notecard thank you but the untraditional thing and you don't see DH's face...may upset people.
I think #1 or #2 are good choices but would go with #2. You had such a great Christmas theme at your wedding and #2 really shows that. I liked #1 at first look best but then read your palm tree line and now kind of felt the same way as DH. lol

good point November - #2 may be affected by shrinking!

Wouldn't #2 be too far away when its a wallet size?

Re: Thank you picture
Great points Nicey! Both of our families are very traditional, DH's more so. I think many would be like 'what an odd picture to send' if I sent one of my favorites! The pictures really are for others, not me, and I can use all the fun ones in my album etc. I just want to make a statement with our thank you in the same way we did with the wedding. And to think the wedding stress was done!

#1. The other ones are lovely but your faces are the most important aspect and you will be too far away once the print is reduced.

Like I stated, our guest are not into the artsy pix, so for me to send that to them they would not appreciate it like I do. Not even my hubby appreciate them. So as to give the people what they want we sent a traditional pix. I have all my artsy/fun pix all over everything else. Frames, album etc. Your pix are great, anyone you send I am sure will be nice. Make sure your hubby's face is showing tho'
