To my close family and friends we are going to write personal messages but for the not so close members did you write a more generic thank you? If you did, did you thank them for their gift or was it more a thank you for being a part of your day? Just curious because I am starting to FINALLY write ours!

Re: Thank You Question...
I know I'm going to have trouble with this. I hate feeling like I'm writing the same thing, like it's insincere. But, how much can you differentiate it. I'm already behind...I don't want to end up taking even longer when I actually sit down to write them.

For the more generic thank you's, we thanked them for their gift and told them that it meant a lot to us to have our friends and family around us on that day.

Re: Thank You Question...
For most, i wrote a pretty generic note. I mean, there's only so many ways you can say thank you. I did write thank you for the gift in every one of them though. For close friends, wedding party and family , i wrote a longer , more personalized note. HTH!

Ok thanks girls just wasn't sure about the formality of it, if you were supposed to mention the gift or not...thanks again!

Ditto. for the more generic ones we wrote 'Thank you so much for sharing in our special day and for your generous gift. We had the most wonderful time and hope you did too!'

I might use this exactly for my generic ones! Thanks
