Who writes the Thank You cards? Do you split them with DH, write them together or did you take on the task all alone?

In a perfect world I think that it would be nice if the two of you could sit down and write them together, but realistically, I have been to a few weddings and all of the thank you's we got have always been writen by the bride. When DH and I did our thank yous, I felt lucky that DH even offered to stamp them all.

I wrote them all by myself and that was fine with me. I wanted to write a little something in each one and I knew DH would've just been happy writing 'Thank you'.
Some couples split the task tho, it's totally up to the 2 of you!!

I agree. I think I might wind up writin gmost of them. Maybe he will write the ones to his closer friends and family.

I'm in the process of writing them all now - DH has terrible hand writing and no one would ever be able to read them!
I will have him stamp them and put the address labels on them though

I did the majority of them, but I did get my husband to write most of the thank-yous for his side of the family. We both signed them all.

The way DH fills out birthday cards to people, I think I'm going to be the one filling out the thank yous! That way he doesn't slip in any Star Wars references or something like that!

I will probably do them all myself, tho I would love for DH to help-his handwriting is just awful and he would get 1 or 2 done before he annoyed me

As of right now, I'm insisting that DH do his half. We'll see how that goes Last night, I got 9 done. He did 1. First he didn't know what to write. I gave him 2 options. He thought it wasn't personal. I told him it was his parents' friends, didn't have to be, they just wanted a thank you. Okay. He forgot what I told him. I had him write it down. It took him an hour to write this TY and he was so proud when he was done. He also kept complimenting my handwriting, saying 'Hon, you're so good at this!' trying to get me to give in and do them all.

yeah, I didn't even approach that topic with DH. he HATES writing even one line on a Bday card, so this one should go over well
I think I'll ask him to write up the ones for his family, and I'll take care of the rest. (I can likely skirt the inlaw TY's since they have to be written in polish )

I did most of them, but managed to get DH to write 6. He thought that was fair - I do 100, he does 6. Oh well, better than nothing!

I wrote the Thank you's but he addressed the envelopes.
sadly.....he thinks doing that .....was a big help! Yes, it helped.....but thinking of something to write to HIS 80 year old Aunt Joan would helped me better.

I voted split them. I think that you should write to the people appropriate for you....and he should write to his childhood friends and family members...... With that said.....I wrote all of them. ALL OF THEM. DH did not write a single than you. It wouldn't have ever gotten done.
It really depends on your DH.......mine isn't too good with thank you notes....he's good for other things.
