It's time for me to write my thank you cards. What did you write in your cards?

we tried to write something personal but not too much in our cards, just thanking them for their 'generous gift and for sharing our special day' kind of stuff.

That's exactly what I wrote

I haven't done them yet...and I may do some of them personal, but generically I plan on writing something like 'Thank you for coming and celebrating our day with us, as well as your generous gift. We look forward to celebrating more happy times with you in the future!'

We had printed inside:
There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. Thank you for sharing in our happiness.
Your generosity and thoughtfulness are very much appreciated.

Then we wrote a short personalized note- Usually something like We are so glad you were able to join us to celebrate our wedding day. Thank you for the very generous gift. If the person gave us a gift from our registry we thanked them for the specific gift.

We're so happy you were able to celebrate our special day with us. Thank you so much for your generous gift - we really appreciate it.
