Thank Yous

Thank Yous

I started the dreaded task of writing my thank you's last night. (Not that I am not appreciative just it's alot of writing!). I only wrote 6 and already I feel like I am monotonous and boring. The shower thank yous were so much easier because I made them so personal but using what they gave as a gift in the letter. But with mostly cash gifts for the wedding it is harder to make them unique and personal.

Anyone want to share some of their creative writings?

PS I already stole ideas from verseit.

Re: Thank Yous

Since most of the TY's were going to different households, I didn't try to get creative.

I think there are only so many ways to say thank you for being there and thank you for the generous gift. I changed the adjectives and if I noticed something they did or said at the wedding I mentioned it, also if they travelled a long distance.

Good luck getting them done:)

Re: Thank Yous

I didn't get creative, for BP I did...it just is such a tedious task in general and really most people want to look at the picture so I didn't go all out on writing up a storm...I think most people will throw out the card anyway!!

Good Luck getting them done!

Re: Thank Yous

it was hard...I wrote alot of :
'thank you for sharing in our wedding day, I hope you had as much fun as we did' etc etc
but I did make the ones to aunts, cousins, close friends much more personal.

Good luck!

Re: Thank Yous

I wrote a lot of 'Thank you for being with us on our wedding day & for the generous gift.We were so happy you could be there.'
I tried to write a little bigger also to take up more room. Just keep it simple and to the point. I wrote out about half of ours but had to stop because my handwriting was getting sloppier and sloppier. I will write a few more tonight.

Re: Thank Yous

I know it is boring and monotonous but I let everyone know that we appreciated their generosity. What more can you really say, unless you plan on using the gift to do something that is the only way I can see you wording it some other way. HAppy Writing
