OMG Gina that is sooooooooooooo exciting! Congrats! & from one homeowner to another - you will have writers cramp by the time you are done with the closing...lol you have like 50 of so pages to sign here & here , initial here & there...lol - but the end result is your very own HOME!!!! Please post pics when you can & let us know when housewarming is & if you're doing a housewarming registry!
Ya know, I expected alot more paperwork... our lawyer said that our 'stack' really wasnt that large... but its all a blur- the ratlling off of #'s and what everything means... DH feels really bad for the seller though... He was only moving out to take care of his mother, and about 2 weeks ago, she passed away... He seemed very depressed at the closing table so it was sad...
We wanted our first big bash to be NYE but we def have some work ahead of us so we're now aiming for a super bowl party... We'd rather not have an 'official' housewarming...

The closing was simple really... a blur... but simple... and we walked away from the table with $$ in our pocket which is nice lol
The traffic afterwards to get home was unreal though... bc of some huge accident on southern state Cant have everything go yout way i guess huh lol

Congrats again!!! I know the feeling of fixing up your home! DH and I just bought a home in West Islip, South of Montauk..we are doing an extension and we can't wait for it to be done. We think of all the packing we'll have to do..plus we have pick up all our shower, and wedding gifts from 2 locations..plus packing up my stuff, his stuff, and going to my parents to get the rest of my personal belongings to my bedroom ( we are living with my in laws until the house is move in ready!)
