I saw it yesterday. I told my hubby that if I ever get so low in our marriage and is tempted to cheat, I will look at this movie again.
For the ladies who saw it, what did you think about it.
For those who haven't, it's available at blockbuster, borrow it.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I thought it was good - I felt bad for the woman, considering how addicting and compulsive her behavior came with the French guy.
As for the movie, it was like watching soft porn! LOL Too many sex scenes, IMO.

I saw it and I think if you are unhappy, don't cheat. Move on.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
FH and I saw it recently and we both found it to be really disturbing for some reason. I don't think it was so much the cheating part that was disturbing, but what it did to the husband. I did not like that movie at all!

I found the movie disturbing ... I just can't stomach watching people cheat. I told Rob that it's a heinous act and it just shouldn't be done!
I think the most distubing part of the movie is that they seemed like a happy couple!

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I didn't find it disturbing. I personally felt adult and open-minded enough to handle the sex scenes.
It shows how a chance meeting with someone leads to an affair. Unlike any other movie that I have seen, it show how the affair got so addictive for the woman. How it affected her emotionally, its effect on her husband and child. For me it wasn't about the sex scenes, but the consequences of getting close to someone other one's spouse. The movie in no condones adultery, in fact it would sways you from even thinking about it because they are alway unintentional consequences.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I also saw the movie and thought it was interesting but deserved a better ending.
The real 'dilemna' for the wife is that she is secure in her home and lifestyle that is funded by her husband but wants the romance and seduction that the young, poor, hot French man delivers. If she gives up the French man, she is destined for a boring middle class life. If she leaves her husband she is destined for a passionate but much more modest and less financial secure future. Very interesting and very true for women who rely on their husbands income.

Didn't see the movie yet- but I know the main plot. What I find funny is that when women discuss Fatal Attraction we trash the guy for cheating on his beautiful, supportive wife. I agree with Stef that there is a dilemna for this women, but maybe she needs to work at bringing passion into her marriage instead of looking for it outside of her marriage.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I thought this was a good movie. It was obviously disturbing but I think it gave insight to what goes through the mind of a person who is cheating. I agree there was way too many sex scenes! I was extremely disappointed with the way things turned out...am not exactly sure what would have made it better or what I was expecting.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I haven't seen this movie yet, either...but from seeing the commercials, it doesn't leave much to the imagination.
And, I TOTALLY agree w/Michele's assessment...the answer is for her to work on bringing the passion back to her marriage - not settling for a boring life OR a humble life. It might be difficult for all of us to understand right now, since we are all newly married, but passion ebbs and flows in a marriage...it has high and low points, and is not always consistent. But, marriages (hopefully) are based on more than just passion, and that's why people can remain truly happy in a marriage, even during the times when passion is not super hot.
This woman's passion for her husband has waned, and she found a new spark w/the French guy...but, if she were to leave her husband, she would find that her passion for the French guy wouldn't last very long either!

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
Just FYI: This move is nothing like Fatal Attraction. I dont think the commercials depicted the movies plot properly.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I agree - whether a woman is a SAHM or an independent career-woman, passion in marriage will always have its ups and downs. No man - regardless of how hot he is - can ever give her a lifetime of non-stop passion. Sooner or later it fades. The important thing is to work on the marriage. Personally, I think she had a good husband. The relationship just needed some spark.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
You made an excellent point Stef. This is the kind of discussion I was hoping that we would have. Yes, the plot is about a wife being unfaithful. To me it was so much more than that. On the outside, this is a family who seems to have everything --the big house in the suburbs, a loving and successful husband, a wonderful son and everything that comes along with that. However, after a chance encounter she is throwing it away with an exotic, poor, passionate french boy. At every step, my mind is screaming NOooooooooo, and you you can see her rangling with her dilema.

Michele you made a good point too; however, I didn't get the feeling that she was looking. It was something that she got caught up in.

Re: The movie - Unfaithful
I always say if you are not looking you will not find. Something must have been lacking, I am not saying I agree, but before she went looking she should have worked on what she had at home. I must say I agree 100% that it will not always be hot, hot in the home, but working at it will make a difference, unless she believes it was not worth working on. I cannot wait to see it this weekend. I hope I am not disappointed.
