THE MUTUAL ADMIRATION SOCIETY/ How delightful is a timely word!

I read an article today about telling your mate how much you admire them, so now I want us to do the same thing, list them here and then tonight share the list with them, if you feel like it, you can, send it in an email to your husband. This is how you should list all 3 things, or feel free to do it anyway you want

Your mate also needs you to praise him or her specifically for who he or she is as a person. Sow the good seeds of praise in his or her life with statements such as

'I appreciate you because you...'
'I admire you for your...'
'Thank you for...'

To appreciate means 'to raise in value,' while to depreciate means to 'lower in value.' You can watch your mate's encouragement 'value' go up when you appreciate him or her verbally!

Don't forget to praise your mate for those mundane daily duties

William James said, 'All of us, in the glow of feeling we have pleased, want to do more to please.' Thus, you can help to motivate your mate toward excellence in his or her character and his or her performance by giving generous, liberal and fervent praise

I guess I will begin

'I appreciate you because you - because of the way you provide for us and always go out of your way to make me feel as if nothing is too hard for you to do.

'I admire you for your strength in raising a son on your own and for making me feel so loved and for being a good dad, husband and friend.

'Thank you for - being willing to grow with me spiritually, I love when we pray and read God's word together, thank you for that closeness.

I am shocked that no one chose to respond, I am still waiting to hear what admirable things you have to say about your spouses. I will be back to check.

'I admire you in the way that you care for your family and how you would go above and beyond for them. You are a great son and brother.'

'Thank you for - accepting my craziness and my quirkiness. Thank you for being my best friend.'

I love this! Here's my words to my DH:

'I appreciate you because you...are very loyal and loving to me, and we are best friends!'

'I admire you for your...motivation and dedication, even when the situation seems grim'

'Thank you for...always thinking I am beautiful, for bringing me a cup of coffee every morning, and most of all - for being YOU!'

Thanks, Shamma... that was great

I appreciate you because you...you made it possible for me to stay home with our son for the first 6 months of his life.

I admire you for your...your strong work ethic. You take your job seriously and expect the same from others.


Thank you for...making me feel as if I am the most beautiful woman alive and for being the most wonderful husband and father.

Wacky that is sweet, does he work nights?? I sure would miss my spooning if Roger had to work nights, I love the warm body next to me. Your hubby will be pulling double duty, night kids, I have to go tuck mommy in now

Shamma No he works 6am to 7pm. He tucks me in at night and then againg when hes leaving for work.

You are so spoiled *sticks tongue out at Wacky, that is so sweet. I can only remember being tucked in once, when Roger was leaving to go away on a trip and he kissed me and left

Oh I love it Shamma, I think we are all spoiled in one way or another.
