the Venetian in Las Vegas

Has anybody ever stayed there? What are your thoughts on it? I am accompanying hubby on one of his business trips in 2 weeks and we are staying there for 4 days, 3 nights. I've never been to Vegas.

During the days when hubby is at his convention, what are some things I can do by myself? Any reccomendations for places to eat or shows to see for us at night? We don't really gamble at all.

I'm excited, but a little worried about hanging by myslef while he's gone....

Re: the Venetian in Las Vegas

The Venetian is amazing .. we were there for a few days at the end of our honeymoon. We stayed at the concierge level in the new towers. Neways, there's a whole floor full of pools so you could hang out there. There's all the Grand Canal Shoppes that are always full. Also a really nice spa at the Venetian.

Plenty of other stuff in Vegas .. we saw Mamma Mia there which we loved

Re: the Venetian in Las Vegas

I am still on vaca in California but I am on for a minute. We stayed in the Venetian for 3 nights last week and it was amazing. The rooms are beautiful and the service is great. This was my second time to stay at the Venetian in Vegas.

We also did Delmonico's Steakhouse there which is owned by Emeril, I highly recommend it. A little pricey but everything from salads to dessert was absolutely AMAZING!!!

Hope this helps a little.

Re: the Venetian in Las Vegas

I was just looking at their website, and saw all the amazing places to eat. I love steak places, so the info on Delmonico's is good to hear. The best part of the trip is that hubby can expense it all, so we can really enjoy ourselves on someone else's dime!!

Re: the Venetian in Las Vegas

Stuff to do by yourself, see the forum shops while ther there is an animatronic show at the end of the forum shops, go to Madame tussauds at the Venetian, go to the secret garden at Mirage.
At the MGM they have the Lions in the casino.

Some shows to see at night any of the Cirque du Soleil shows, I have seen O and Mystere and loved them both. I saw the Legends concert at the Imperial Palace and that was good also. I ahve heard that Blue Man Group is good too.

There is also the fashion mall which is right past treasure island if you wnat to do more shopping.

Re: the Venetian in Las Vegas

I second Zefarinos, it was wonderful. We told them we had our wedding reception at a Scotto location and they sat us at a table overlooking the canal and gave us drinks OTH.

If you love steak there is a great western or texas style steak house in Bellagio that was fantastic.

You cant be bored in Vegas they have something for everyone. Shop, Peoplewatch, visit all the hotels on the strip, restaurants, spas, shows, pools. Have a gret time!

I am sure you will have a great time!!! The Venetian is beautiful! I was in vegas a few years ago and my favorite thing was the dancing waters in front of the Bellagio.
