No, to both. But, I believe they're giving it very good reviews! It's something my DH would love to see. We hate going when anything first comes out though anyway.

DH and I might see it sometime this weekend. We never go on Fri nights tho, esp on opening night. Too crazy! DH is still reading the book now, but since the movie is doing well on rottentomatoes.com (he will NOT go see a movie unless it's over 60% , we'll prob go see it anyway. I just want to see it b/c of Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Denny!!

I am reading all of the reviews the movie got , and all the bad reviews and it's sort of pissing me off.
The Watchmen Novel is such a great book. If people don't read the novel and find out the real story before they see a movie adaptation of it, then of course they wont get it lol I am so pissed right now after reading some of these reviews lol
I just wish people would learn about the background of a movie, especially a comic to film movie, before they talk about how bad it was.
*vent over*
I know the theatres will be crowded, but if you get there early enough you can get on the front of the line, and that is what I am hoping to do. If it's too crazy, then I will go tomorrow night. :)

Yes! some of the reviews said that some scenes that Dave Gibbons drew in the novel are exactly like they are in the movie. I can't wait! I love Dr. Manhattan.

No to both but I heard this morning on the radio from the Movie Phone guy that it was way to long (3 hours) and not good. He said the only people who might like it are comic people and even they might not like it. Just thought I would let you know.

I have been reading reviews all morning about how people hated it, yet they never cared to read the book. The only people who should or would be into this movie are people who are comic book fans and have read the book. I hate mr. Movie phone lol I listened to him on Z100 back in the day and I despise him!!!! lol
It's also not a 'superhero movie' that people should take children to. Alot of parents are complaining that it's not for little kids. Isn't the movie rated R???? lol
I dunno...I will judge for myself tonight.

We saw it last night in IMAX. DH has read the novel but I haven't. I thought it was great-really entertaining. I want to read the novel now.

i thought it was really good. it cannot compare to the book, but i still enjoyed it. DH never read the book, and he had questions about certain things, but he enjoyed it too. he said the only thing was that it was too long. it was long, but when you know the story, it doesn't really feel like it's that long.

we saw it with friends last night and all four of us liked it- it was a little slow in the beginning, but then was great!
