The Wedding of the Year??

I was just looking at pictures and OMG - amazing!!! I must've been out of the loop for a while though, because I'm wondering if somebody can explain to me what exactly it is. Like who's chosen for it and why? What goes on there, what's it all about? I kept hearing talk of it, but I never inquired or really even thought about it till now. Now I'm kinda bummed that I WASN'T apart of all the excitement. lol. I wanna know what it's all about!

So, if anybody could soothe my curiosity, it would be much appreciated

Its a mock wedding put together by the site. Its basically a huge showcase with a bunch of vendors. Whoever wants to be a part in it submitted their names and they were randomly chosen. And then tickets were sold for people who wanted to go.

oh, okay. So then it's kind of like that 80's Prom deal that they have in the city? A big party, where you don't necessarily know everybody there. That actually sounds like a lot of fun! So the Newly Weds & Bridal party are all just chosen at random? It's not somebody's entire wedding party being 're-done'

Yup! They are chosen at random. But you have to submit your names to be considered. And then the site picks the bride (With her groom) and a random bridal party. Yup kinda like the 80s gig where not everyone will know eachother. Its all people from the forums.

I love that. It sounds like so much fun. And I assume that whichever girls get chosen for the Bridal party, also get to bring their hubbies (or fiances) in as groomsmen - since we don't have a lotta fellas in these boards.

Thanks for clearing all that up for me. My curiosity just kept growing, I couldn't take it anymore!!! lol

Yup exactly! Their husbands make up the men's side. Its a really cool concept and looks like a lot of fun.

I also see it as an opportunity for the different vendors to showcase their talents to the upcoming brides planning their weddings. I imagine it's a good way for some of the future brides who attended to get some ideas for their weddings, as well.
