This has been a few hard days...
for all of us as New Yorkers and as Americans.
I dont work too far from the Towers and I was in the office at 830. We could not believe our eyes when someone turned on the TV. Then we lookes out our windows and saw the first tower go down. We were all shreaking, shaking and crying. And then decided all to go out.
Rob & I are amateur radio operators. We are checking into the Amateur Radio Emergency Service net on the air to see where they need us..
We have a few freinds who have been working 24 to 36 hours straight.
Since I got out on Tuedsay, I got stuck at a coworkers home in Queens tues night and could not get home.
Wed we had an emergency meeting of managers at work that day. When I got home, I went out with Rob on his tour as an aux. police officier. People were very glad to see that some of the police force were visible here...and all we could think of was all the workers/volunteers in manhatten.
They are all in our prayers.
All I can think of are those poor souls trapped or jumping...and the other souls waiting to hear where their loved ones are.
light a candle!
