This one's a toughy - MIL photo album

I'm having a small photo album made for my MIL which i know she really wants - only problem is that she wasn't at the wedding!

Since she's not in any photos, there won't be any of those 'family shots' or the mother/son dance, etc. What should i put in it? Just basically pictures of the bridal party and me & DH??

She had also thrown us a second reception in Colorado about a month after the wedding. It wasn't big though (just a nice dinner with family where they watched our ceremony on DVD). There wasn't a photographer, but we still got some pictures of us all together. Do you think I should throw any of those in there?? The photographer said it's fine if I want other pictures not from the wedding for him to put in. But i'm not sure. Maybe I should just leave it with only wedding? Although she might appreciate some of those in there as well since she's actually IN those pics, ya know?

Not sure what to do. Any advice I'd appreciate.

I would incorporate photos from the reception that she was at. If you have a nice pic of her and dh, and of the three of you, that would be nice. Maybe even a group picture from that event if you have it.
As for the reception that she wasn't at, I would keep it to you, dh and the bridal party. HTH!

I agree!!! why can't she also help pick her own? maybe she can give you ideas of what she likes/doesn't like

I would use some pictures from the reception in CO and pictures of you and your DH at the wedding.

thanks ladies!! I'll look through those pictures from the 2nd reception and see if there's any good ones. We didn't take much, but I know that we got at least a couple family shots.
