Wow! Thanks for sharing...these look great! I'm esp. loving the shrimp one. I have a question....do you do all the food shopping for all of this at once? Or, do you pick the stuff up as the week goes on? How do you shop for this stuff?

Thanks for sharing!

We can't cook every night, otherwise, I would. Tuesday nights though, we have Tuesday Night Dinner Club and we all go out and someone picks a place to eat and do that.

The grilled shrimp sounds yummy!

on saturdays, we make the menu for the week, and list all of the ingredients that we don't already have on hand -- then sunday we shop! we buy all of the stuff at once. it really helps us to save money because we only buy what we need!

recipes for stir fry and chicken burgers?!?!?!?

Stir Fry:

You'll need...
-coarse salt and ground pepper
-8 ounces udon noodles (in the Asian section)
-2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut crosswise into thin strips
-1 tbsp. cornstarch
-2 tbsp. vegetable oil
-1 small red onion; halved and thinly sliced
-2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
-1/2 napa cabbage, thinly shredded
-2 cups frozen shelled edamame
-2 tbsp. rice vinegar
-2 tbsp. soy sauce

1) Cook noodles according to package instructions -- drain, rinse under cold water, and drain again.

2) While pasta is cooking... toss chicken with cornstarch and season with salt and pepper.

3) In skillet, heat 1 tbsp. oil over med-high and cook chicken until light brown on the outside (2-4 min), and put on a plate

4) add the other tbsp. oil to the same skillet, then add the onion and garlic -- cook for about 1-3 minutes and keep stirring! add the cabbage and stir a lot for about 2-4 min.

5) add edamame, vinegar, soy sauce, chicken, & noodles and season with salt and pepper. cook until noodles and edamame are warmed through (another 5ish minutes!)

Chicken burgers:

This will be my first attempt at chicken burgers so I'm not sure how they'll come out! I plan on making them the same way that I make my normal burgers, but maybe adding a little egg to help them stick. I don't have a 'recipe' but here's what I do...

Mix ground chicken with 1 packet of Lipton's Onion Soup Mix... add a big squirt of ketchup, a dash of A1, a little water, and a sprinkle of breadcrumbs. I also plan on adding a little bit of beaten egg to hopefully help keep them from falling apart. We plan on having them with whole wheat buns
