Those of you who 'know' your cycle and when you ovulate...

Not too long ago I asked a question related to how you know you're ovulating. I've been trying to figure out when I ovulate since my cycle is crazy since going off the pill in December. I'm trying to use OPKs (not TTC yet but just to figure out my cycle for the future) and I'm not ovulating now but I have light cramping...do any of you have cramps BEFORE you ovulate?

Some people get a sharp pain on either side (where your ovaries are) at the time of Ovulation, it lasts a few seconds to a few minutes, it's usually the egg bursting out of the ovary.

You can also track your (this is a little gross) cervical mucous (cm) -- when you notice it looking like egg whites....clear and slippery then you will be Oing within the next few days.

I get both and I never knew what it meant until I took a look at the TTC boards on LIF.

i agree...try keeping an eye on your CM. usually right before it turns to teh egg white consistency it will be creamy/lotiony. that can help you pinpoint when its coming

May sound crazy, but the dollar tree has VERY accurate pregnancy tests, but they also carry ovuation kits too... look into the accuracy... but you could stock up on those since they are only $1

I'm pretty regular in my cycles, so I know about 2 weeks in when I start feeling crampy that something is going on...and now that I know what to look for with that whole CM thing, that's when I tell DH it's playtime by my rules for the next few days lol. I thought that happened when you actually are though, not just prior to it, so I guess you learn something new every day!
