Re: Those who have been to ARUBA
We stayed at the Occidental Grand a Aruba and loved it!!! We upgraded to the Royal Club, worth every penny!!! It was an All-Inclusive.

Re: Those who have been to ARUBA
We just booked the Hyatt for 10 days in August, flying on Jet Blue.
We stayed at the Occidental a few years ago but didn't like it. We also didn't want to so AI because there are so many good restaurants on the island.

Re: Those who have been to ARUBA
we stayed at the Renissance, it was awesome! its away from all the high rise hotels, but its in town near everything! it was awesome, you can walk to the open air mall, its so cool. We stayed at the ocean suites part. This hotel is also the only hotel that has a private Island which was amazing! they take you by boat its less then 5 mins. and they have a family side, and an adults only side. Its awesome. We snorkled there every day, the fish were huge!!!
Our first choice though was the Buttci (sp?) but it was completly booked, that place totally blows all Aruba hotels out of the water, but its far away from everything... but its very secluded. You really can't go wrong with anything, but you really don't need AI, cause theres so many amazing restraunts, that usually aren't part of the plan.
We had considered the Hyatt but they don't have any rooms with a sit out on balcony, and DH and I love to relax like that but not have to be dressed to leave the room, so that was an importnat factor to us.
this was our room
seperate bedroom

Re: Those who have been to ARUBA
We just went there in September for our honeymoon and stayed at the Westin. We LOVED it, aboslutely LOVED it. Our room was great and our view was beautiful. We didn't do all inclusive and I actually recommend that - the food is not really that expensive and they have so many great restaurants that you won't want to be limited. I was nervous at first for not going all inc but so glad we didn't. You will love it!!!

Re: Those who have been to ARUBA
I definitely suggest not doing AI in Aruba. There are so many amazing restaurants. We stayed at the Wyndham, which is now the Westin. We loved it and had an amazing time. There's a bus stop right out front which will take you into the center of downtown.

Re: Those who have been to ARUBA
I have been there 13 times as a kid but the hotel that we stayed at has since closed. So I'm sorry that I can't be of more help- but I just wanted to let you know that it is an AMAZING place to visit and regardless of where you stay you will have an incredible time!!!
