***Thursday QOTD***

As I kind of mentioned I am having a medical issue (not a cold, more female related) that really has me taking it easy. It made me think about today's question.

Who is better about being sick, the better patient, you or DH? Why?

Who is the better caretaker when the other one is sick?

I am pretty winey when I am really sick. Not something like now, although Sun night I was. I feel like I am sick often so I try not to be to bad, I am probably worse around my mother then DH. I am not a terrible patient, I only get winey when I am at my worst.

DH however never gets sick, but when he does WATCH OUT!!!!! He is impossible to deal with.

As for the better nurse... when DH is really sick I am usually pretty good. I make sure he is taken care of and has what he needs as I stay far away from him. But when he is only slightly sick I usually make fun of him. He says he never gets sick so I give him a hard time when he does.

He is absolutely the better nurse. He takes such great care of me. I had a similar problem to my current one in college and he took me to the hospital and then spent 7 nights sleeping on my futon in my sorority house to make sure I was ok. He was constantly running to get me anything I needed. Whenever I am sick he is there with water, soup, advil, whatever it is I might need. Even if he is super busy. This week when he had to go up to CT he sent me to my parents and calls every few hours to see how I am. He is amazing.

Um i would say its pretty equal...
DH and I both rarely get sick...like really sick i mean. (knock on wood...our new health plans both suck if we do get sick so im just hoping we dont! lol)
we both pretty much act the same way when sick tho...kinda just wanna sleep alot and be lazy!
for the most part i guess unless im really sick...i dont let being sick stop me from doing anything I hate being left out of things so if something is going on, and i am sick i usually just suck it up so i dont miss the fun! lol

we both are pretty good with taking care of each other!

DH milks 'sick' for as long as he can.

On the rare occasion I get really sick, hes pretty good at taking care of me.

Well we're both pretty equal when its something minor like a cough, cold, etc...

But when its something like a stomach virus, flu ,etc...hard to say b/c we're both pretty whiny when we dont feel good. The only difference between us is that I will go to a doctor or even a hospital if need be to feel better - DH will wait he's on death's doorstep to do such things (so stubborn he can be sometimes)

As far as a better caretaker...ME - guess it's just the maternal instinct that anyone I love if they're sick - I bend over backwards to take care of them to make them feel a lot better! Not that DH doesnt try- but Im just much better at it...lol

Why is it that men never want to go to the doctor. DH Is supposed to go once a year for a condition... he hasn't gone in 3 years.

Yeah they r a real PITA! DH had a sebacious/sebatious(not sure of sp) cyst on his lower back & he waited until it was so bad he couldnt sit, lie down, anything! So had to rush him to ER to watch the dr drain it... (boy was that FUN...NOT!)
