Thursday QOTD

Thursday QOTD

So since baby fever, or lack thereof, has been abound lately, my QOTD for today is, for girls who are not pregnant yet, will you find out the sex of your baby before hand, and why? And for girls who are currently pregnant, or had their babies already, did you find out, and why?

For me, I will not find out before hand. I think it's life's only true surprise! And I don't care too much about buying the clothes and things before hand, because you don't need anything too gender specific in the beginning, Plus, we'll teach our sons that real men wear pastels anyway!

I don't think I will find out.

I will totally find out because I am impatient and I will want to buy all gender specific stuff.

DH and I have had this conversation since we're about to start TTC. The answer is NO! We both want to be surprised.

Even though I will need an amnio because of my advanced age and the fact that I will be a high-risk pregnancy, we do not want to know.

I use to think that i would DEF wanna find out!! because if it was a girl i wanted her to have a pretty pink or purple room and if it was a boy blue! not fan of yellows and greens! buttttt

The more i think about it the more i dont wanna find out! there are not many surprises in life (im very good at figuring things out when there is supppose to be a surprise! LOL) soo i think
i will DEF not wanna know!!

The moment the baby is born i feel is going to be that much more exciting not knowing and finding out for the first time when everyone else does...

my second kid tho ill prob wanna know!!

Good question!

As much as I would LOVE to be surprised, I don't think either DH or myself could hold out for 9 months...the suspense would kill us!

I'll definitely want to know beforehand so I can talk to the baby and use his/her proper name. Plus I know DH and I are going to have a bit of discussing to do about a boy's name when the time comes so I'd rather do it before we have to fill out the birth certificate lol.

A girl at the gym is having her third boy in June -- she has been more than transparent about being unhappy, but I hope she gets over it soon because I think that's an awful attitude when you're about to bring life into this world. But at least she's getting it out of her system now.

Well before the miscarriage in Dec. DH & I both definitely wanted to know. Im a control freak & need to have the baby room exactly how i want it. I know im so bad. But as long as we both agreed on it, it was all good.

Amen!

The thought of not knowing sounds appealing for the first, like, five minutes ... I know I could NEVER LAST 9 months without knowing!

Well I am pregnant and having a !!! Before I got pregnant and we were ttc, I said I wouldn't find out. I wanted to stay team green. DH was ok with that, but did want to know. As you can see we ended up finding out. I am so happy with our choice and don't regret it at all. I think it has helped DH connect more w/ the baby. I feel like it was harder for him not being the one carrying her if that makes sense. Now he can think about having a little girl, and it makes me melt. He is making her a playlist on his ipod, and I catch him tearing up when he is listening to songs about daughters. I wouldn't have it any other way. I like that we are able to narrow down our name choices too b/c I am the worst and make big decisions like that. I won't refer to her by name until she is here. For now she is just baby girl b_____

As difficult as it will be we will not be finding out when we have a baby!

Which won't be for a very long time lol

Well...I always thought I would wait until the baby was born but I am such a planner and have no patience to wait so we will def find out. Either way it is going to be a surprise whether it be at 5 months or 9 months.

I will probably want to find out… and DH is the most impatient person I know, so I know he will DEF want to find out!

I did not think I would ever want to find out until the time comes until recently. My cousin is having a baby and does not want to know and we had to buy all neutral things and that wasnt as fun lol. I told my mom about this and I thought she would disagree but she she did not and had a good point, you are still going to be surprised , just at a different time!

I would want to find out as soon as possible because I'm not really good with waiting . However, DH and I wouldn't tell family and friends until a baby shower because we wouldn't want all pink or all blue clothing.

I don't know if I would be able to hold in a secret like that though, but it's fun to think about!
