I was hoping an experienced bride could help me with this one...for the hall, do I tip the maitre d' even after the gratuity is already included in the overall bill? If so, how much is appropriate? I'm haveing 130 guests.

Usually the maitre'd tip is not included in the gratuities. The standard for a tip is usually $2-$3 per person, I have even heard estimates as high at $4-$5 per person. But it is all at your discresion. We had about 230 people and tiped $500 for the maitre'd. Hope that helps

My hall Coral House the tip was included for him It was I believe a 1.5 per person if I remember correctly and we had over 200 people. I think we had about 250. Jeez it was just July and I can't remember correctly but I do remember it was included.

we tipped him separately. his was not included. we had 165 and tipped about $800 - but that is a lot. everything at oheka was!
