Gosh, lately besides this particular board and parenting, I'm afraid to step in the water on any of the other boards because I'm afraid the drama shark will sink it's teeth into me. Did you all catch the b.s. on the NWR board today/this weekend? Holy high school Batman. What is up with these ladies? Thoughts anyone?

Re: Tired of the drama...
One thing that I have come to realize, is that the brides have seen that the NW are responding less and less on the BHB boards, if you notice they have started coming on the NWB and started posting their questions. We all are trying to stay away from it, so we are all in the same boat. I guess hi's and lows. WHen I see a drama filled thread, I quickly move on.

Ditto to avoiding the high drama threads but I did think that the email Theresa received was way over the line and stated that.

I refuse to post anything in those ridiculous childish posts. I don't need that much drama in my life.

Re: Tired of the drama...
Shamma - I guess we're confined to the safe keeping of the newlywed board (not that I'm complaining). How sad is it that there are individuals on the board that are lacking in maturity that create chaos out of nothing? Does that mean we can post some NWR/NNWR questions over here to play it safe?

Re: Tired of the drama...
I am not sure why the drama but I will say that when girls ask a question often they get 'offended' when people answer. IMO if you ask a question then you will get lots of different answers. Some you will like, others you will not. Also, I think it is important to remember that people's feelings can easily be hurt when the answers get personal. I don't post anything that I would not say to someone's face. Just my rule, but I wouldn't want someone to get hurt over something a posted. I don't care if they don't agree, but hurting their feelings is not what I want to.

I never respond to these things either but that email was really low. If someone is rude to me, I usually ignore them. I think this time what someone did was out of line. Its really sickening whats been going on here. This is a board for advice not petty b.s.

Re: Tired of the drama...
I have to admit I am guilty of checking those high hit posts for the entertainment factor. I do feel bad that some new brides may be missing out on the great experience this board provided us. We are here to share experience and request opinions. All views should be welcome.

Re: Tired of the drama...
What I dont understand is why do people continually post new threads and new responses unless they like the drama (entertainment value or whatever)?
That first post by Christine should have been ignored and then it would have been the end of it.

I agree with you Fran M. Negative posting is getting out of hand.

Re: Tired of the drama...
I try never to respond to the Drama posts ( as bad as I sometimes want to) I just feel that if you have a question or want to speak your opinions then grow up and respect the fact that we are hundreds of girls with hundreds of different opinions. If you feel offended that other ppl think differently then you, then you really should think twice about posting here. Its all about love and respect!

Re: Tired of the drama...
Shamee, I post all my questions etc here. We are not planning a wedding so all things can be asked on the NW board that is the fun of it

Re: Tired of the drama...
I agree that the email sent to Theresa was disgraceful, and I agree with LIW's decision to ban that individual. A couple of weeks ago, however, another member of the board sent an equally (if not more) disturbing FM to someone (who displayed it in a public thread) and that person was never banned. As a matter of fact the post that exposed the nasty FM was pulled of the site. Meanwhile, the guilty party continues to be here even though others came forward and also claimed she had sent them nasty emails. Sorry to bring up the past, but I think that rules are useless unless they are enforced consistently.

Re: Tired of the drama...
I agree with Stef about the constant reposting of garbage... ITs bad enough we have someone who would be so low as to send an email to someone for the sole purpose of hurting feelings, but to keep adding fuel to the fire helps no-one... And then all the accusations of who thinks who it is is nonsence.. Who cares who it is, lets just MOVE ON! I love the newlywed board for ALL the help of the GREAT women on here, who have really helped me with questions to real life problems, and i like the NWR board for all the fun posts through the day.. I hope that it doesnt get so bad where i feel i dont want to come on here anymore.

Re: Tired of the drama...
Wow, I missed a lot this weekend! And its usually so quiet! I wonder how many were tuning in for the drama
How many posts on this do we have? Its just perpetuating the drama (and yes, this thread is somewhat guilty of that too). But come on! Can't we get over this ?
Its like high school all over again...with all the cliques forming and who's ganging up on who...its a real shame.
