To all the old women over here on this board

Just kidding you guys are not that old. . I just needed your help, I'm a rookie at this wedding planning thing and I know some of you over here are pros:

I want to go and book with the swan club some time soon (hopefully). I just need help on what the contract should contain and what things I may need to add to the contract?

If anyone has signed a contract with the swan club before, I would like to hear your experience with contract signing.

I really need you help because I am clueless.

Thanx for the help.

We didnt book with the swan club but things that we made sure were included in our catering contract were

minimum gte
price per person (adult, child & vendor)
everything included in the price (linens, cake, etc)
extras that may be included (centerpieces, valet parking, coat room attendents)
Number of menu selections:
for the cocktail hour - # of hot & cold chafing dishes, butler service
for the dinner - each course, # of main course selections, desserts, appertizer, etc.

Extras you may add on: vienese hour, ice sculpture, sea food bar, coffee/cap/espresso bar, etc.

type of liquor - well, premium, top shelf

overtime rates.

Make sure anything you can think of is included on the contract. Ask if you can have ANY design cake or is it from a selection of styles. Can you bring in a special bottle of wine or champagne? If something is included and you decide not to get it, what would the credit on your bill be?

HTH
