Today is my DH's birthday....and it got me thinking

Today is my DH's birthday....and it got me thinking

I can't believe my hubby is 32 years old. I told him when I called him at work, that I can't believe I met him when he was just 25 and I was 22. Time has FLOWN by.

And I thought, how funny would it be for us to be able to go back and time to the nite we met and tell our past selves---'Guess what--you're about to be introduced to your future spouse' and see how we acted and looked.

anyone ever think of this stuff?

yeppp... If someone had told me in 5th grade that I was going to marry Vin, I probably would have tried to hurt myself to avoid the agony.. funny how things & people change- for the better of course..

question.. would you tell your past selves before or after the 'you got kids?' question posed by pete.. just wondering I would think after would be a more opportune time

first off, happy bday to DH!

i actually have thought about that, esp in the days right before the wedding. DH and i met at a bar, so we always think about the night we met, and if someone told us that we'd be married to each other one day, we totally would have laughed and thought whoever suggested that was nuts. but here we are 3 1/2 years later, married and happy.

Dh lived on LI with some other chick years ago near where i was living at the time (he's from out west originally)...but was living in Israel when we were set up on our blind date 7 years ago...i always laugh saying our paths probably crossed years ago & we didn't know it....and i don't meet him until he's on the other side of the world.

This random thought comes to my mind all the time.

Sometimes I pull up at home and think this is not my beautiful home that is not my beautiful husband....

I cannot believe how much my life changed in such a short time. I never thought I would be living back in NY my husband never thought he would be living in America. I can't believe I'm married i can't believe we own a house and a pool and three tv's.........

I seriously can't believe the way things have turned out and I can't wait to see what else will happen .

I totally think like this my DH is 7 years older so I always think when I was only 12 he was about 18 and the difference in the things were were doing back then is sick.

I didn't mean it that way.

Well, on the flip side, I'm 6 years older than my husband so when I was graduating HS, he was in 6th grade! Yeah, it's sick when you think about it!

To answer OP, yeah we would have both laughed if someone told us the night we met we would wind up married. Since he was so much younger than me, I used to call him 'The boy' when I referred to him in the beginning, he called me old lady (dag, I was only 31!).

Oh yeah and-

Happy B-Day to Pete!!

Happy Birthday to your DH

I think about things like this all the time, especially since DH & I met so randomly at a Starbucks. I think what if my students didn't drive me crazy that day and what if there weren't more empty seats in that Startbucks that day.
