Campbells lol jk
I dont eat it but dh gets himself that for lunch, and I once saw it in a commercial to put things in your tomato soup so one time i put small pieces of hot dogs and he LOVED IT. Now he does it all the time. Also shredded cheese in it too is great.
Sorry never made tomato soup so don't know but i am sure the foodnetwork website has many recipes for it.

I think the campbells one is okay. I will sometimes make it and mealt in cream cheese. But I just love the ones from Panera and hale and hearty so much! They have a more homemade flavor. I know I can find recipes online, but wanted to see if anyone had one they have made and love. Too bad Panera and H&H dont post recipes for their soups!

Re: tomato soup
heres one i found it online
Ingredients 1 (14-ounce) can chopped tomatoes 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil Salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 stalk celery, diced 1 small carrot, diced 1 yellow onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup chicken broth 1 bay leaf 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves 1/2 cup heavy cream, optional Directions Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Strain the chopped canned tomatoes, reserving the juices, and spread onto a baking sheet, season with salt and pepper, to taste, drizzle with 1/4 cup of the olive oil and roast until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat remaining olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the celery, carrot, onion and garlic, cook until softened, about 10 minutes. Add the roasted chopped canned tomatoes, reserved tomato juices, chicken broth, bay leaf and butter. Simmer until vegetables are very tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Add basil and cream, if using. Puree with a hand held immersion blender until smooth.
ETA: I also founsd about 8 different tomato soup recipes on bettycrocker.com

Re: tomato soup
I had tomato soup for dinner tonight! One thing i LOVE doing is putting white rice in it. Like if we get Chinese food and have extra white rice left over, dump it right in the tomato soup (i put tons in lol). Really good!

I know you said that you didn't want to buy it but I also noticed that they sell Panera Soup at BJs and it was a Tomato Soup!

Re: tomato soup
i just dress up a can of plain Campbells!
Add pepper or red pepper, garlic, drop of salt, little basil or oregano...to your taste~ to make it creamier add a dollop of sour cream (stir in if you like) a little shredded cheddar and you're golden!

Re: tomato soup
progresso makes a hearty tomato soup that is VERY good. They have a tomato basil that is great too. I don't like plain tomato soup, like campbells ... i am strange, I won't eat raw tomatoes (cant stand the smell!) but love cooked ones and tomato sauce, etc. The campbells is too much like raw tomatoes to me
