DH left yesterday for another week of training.
I hate being a single mom.
aww honey! We luv ya though! I can't imagine how it is to be a single momma but at least you're not 'really' a single mom-go bug your friends. Remind them they are 'aunties' and 'uncles' and bug your family! I know how hard it is though to be alone for a week..believe me! I only have cats to keep em company
You can call and bug me lol. I will tell you all the 'scintillating' news in NJ..like squirrels hanging outfront..grass growing...

I was a single mom for 5 years b4 DH came into my life... I dont know how I used to do it!! I'm so used to his help now.
My son can run up walls. I don't know where he gets his energy and usually DH gives me a break by wrestling with him and shooting nerf guns.. (REALLY tires the little bugger out)
the best I can do is play board games with him (he always kicks my a$$)

LOL yea..little boys are active creatures. I remmeber NERF guns ALL too well...my younger brother LOVED them as a kid so my dang aunt used to give him one EVERY CHRISTMAS/Birthday and never got hima target...so he made his own..apparently shooting big sister in the back of the head is great fun.
He had that Nija Turtle Pizza thrower thing too, but at least it was mechanical so I would hear it and duck.
What does your DH do that he does away training? Too bad its too cold to take him outside-I'd say let him run and scream in the park for an hour to take the edge off his energy.

he's kinda like a chemist where he tests certain cancer detecting drugs. When we met he was working for a (testing?) facility in Somerset, NJ... once he moved in with us he took a job interning for my dad's union hoping to snag a job... took 1/2 the pay but it was closer than driving over 2 hours to work...
right before we got married his old company offered him a job to head up a new facility in Totowa, NJ.. still NJ, but much closer than Somerset. He was also able to create his own hours so he leaves early enough in the morning to beat traffic. MUCH better opportunity for him and they are sending him for training to be some kind of engineer (i dont understand it much but apparently it can open a lot of doors for him)
Its so funny to see him walking around with chemistry books... *I'M* the academic, not him.... TRUST ME.
but he's excited and so far he loves the new job.
PLUS, he's going to be the superior at the facility which will be cool
With regard to crazy aidan: yeah, the winter months KILL us, b/c usually he gets out all his energy at the park... there are like 5 playgrounds in my neighborhood.

aw, that stinks. You're not a single mom!
It's just one week, try to do the things that you normally can't do. Maybe a little mother/son bonding.

maybe while your DH is away, you and your son could work on some kind of project together to surprise you DH. That might help to keep your son from getting too bored and keep him occupied. I hope your week goes ok!
