Did anyone see this weeks Trading Spaces. Doug actually did a nice room. It was a bedroom. They used 3 shades of a color (blue) and swirled them into each other on the walls as they painted. It came out great. I could not believe I liked one of Doug's rooms.

I saw it and it was beautiful! I was surprised the home owner liked it - she told Gen that she does not like blue at all!

The food art was gross. Her kitchen itself came out pretty good. She always does a couple of weird things too.

I have to agree the room did come out pretty good. Not a big fan of Doug too. Geneivieve can have some wacky ideas.

I LOVED the Doug room!! He really did a good job. I always love Gen's kitchens but the food art was kind of gross!! ewwww....

Doug's painted walls usually are pretty good. I LOVE the Ventian Plaster he uses- he does a paint techique not real VP. The meat art was gross, but funny. LOVE the tin roof and wish I could have one. www.thetinman.com has the tin tiles. I am considering doing a tin backsplash.
TLC has a pretty good Trading Spaces chat room also.

I LOVED THAT KITCHEN!!! That meat art was gross ( I don't even eat red meat!), but oh my!! I've been saying for a long time now I want a tin ceiling! ILOVE stainless steel! My dream kitchen.... stainless appliances, tin ceiling, honey colored wood floor & Cabinets with some with glass fronts!! And never would have thought about yellow... but I really liked the wall color!

Surprise by design is on at 12 and 1pm. Very good show. Was originally hooked on trading spaces...but this prg is good as well. Dont know the designers name- but she has black short hair...never like ANY room she does...but LOVE when VERN doess a room.
