ok so i have a free trash the ress/day after shoot with j'adore..so excited to use it this summer
my orignal plan was to go on home ice for the islanders and take some fun pics..but after numerous mails they nevr got back to me so im kinda forgetting that idea and know thinking of going to coney island...
now dh does not want to put on a tux..granted when i won this at twoty i told him he would not have to put it on..so what would u do
1.me wear the dress..i never got it cleaned so who cares if i dirty it..and dh would be in a button down and jeans
2.just both be in reg clothes and make them fun say engagement pics
3.forget just me and him and take my sisters,bro and the kds to the park for some fun fam pics

Does tommy have a nice kakhi set he can wear? Or kakhi pants with sandals and a button down shirt?
You can rock flipflops under your dress and the pictures will look formal but you'll still be wearing your dress.
You deserve to have some nice pics and I know you were excited about the coneyisland pictures. I am sending you the pw to my album so u can see even more coneyisland pictures okay?
Dont give them up just yet please. U give away so much please do this. After u can come back to my house and we can bbq and u guys can shower (together if u want haha)

Does he have a regular suit he can wear?
I would still do the pics together. If and when I ever get around to doing my TTD, DH will probably just wear his black suit. I also have a free tux rental, but not sure if he'll want to go get fitted and whatnot, and his black suit is fine. Or at the very least, black pants and a nice shirt?

this is my dilemma too! i havent quite decided whether or not im going to put my dress back on...
i thought an anniversary shoot in reg clothes would be fun too!
but a family photo session is always nice!!

he wont wear kakhis? I sent u the pw, tell him vin would do it all over again if he could because its so much fun there... Also there are restrooms on the boardwalk (I know grose) but you can do half in your dress him in kakhis and then change into like, a beach dress and him in his jeans...would that work?

Ooh but I think it could also be awesome pics if he was kind of rough and tumble looking and you were all glam. . and then you could play around with those. . it could be kind of sexy like bad boy meets glam bride

so you really got me thinking about my photo shoot too!! i text DH to see what he would prefer to do, get dressed up and me put on my dress again, or just normal regular clothes...and he goes
'we can get dressed up, if you wanna do your day after shoot we can do it'
LOL i think its cute that he was paying attention to the name of the photo shoot.
and then i asked him where he wants to do it, and he said Adventure Land!! lol So im gonig to email the photographer and set it up! so excited!
Gina i think you need to convience tommy to get a little dressed up and put your dress back on, cuz now im totally excited about it!

Is there a limit on wardrobe changes for the photo shoot? Maybe you could do some pics with you and DH both dressed casually, then some pics of you alone in the dress and then both of you. This way, you'd have the best of both worlds.

I wanted a day after shoot so bad and won the boudoir after egging on from some girls at the shower. But DH hates the idea of me doing a boudoir shoot. He doesn't like the idea of those photos existing in the world, its for his eyes only.
So I talked to her and she said I could do a trash the dress. But at this point I am really over it.
She also said we could do an anniversary shoot, so I think were going to do that. In cute clothes, in the city probably. Why not.
I would do that.

My Dh would not put on a tux either...but what we did was go get a nice but not expensive suit for him to wear. Is that an option for him? If not I would still get him to do it in khakis and a button-down shirt.
P.S. Our TTD is this Sunday on the beach Praying that the weather will be OK!!!!!

I had the same problem!!! I won at TWOTY with Blue Daisy and I was so excited bc she is an amazing photographer. Anyway, at that point my dress was already in the process of being preserved so I knew wearing my dress again was out of the question and DH wasn't really interested. So originally I was just going to buy a cheap dress and make it fun. But the one I thought about it, I realized I wouldn't use the pics and thats such a shame since they would be amazing. Anyway, I asked if it was possible to use the shoot for a newborn shoot instead (willing to pay any type of difference if need be) and she agreed! So now I'm saving it for a beautiful baby hopefully in the next year.
