Trying to make a baby and...

my DH spends about 20 + min each night in the hot tub...is that a problem for sperm count???

This is our first month really 'trying' - should he avoid hot tubbing?

any tips for what worked for you?

i am no expert, but the hot tub is probably not a good idea... the boys need a cool enviornment to grow.

also, try posting or lurking on LIF...they have a TTC board, a pregnancy board and an infertility board... so lots of experts there!

I think he should...i nkow they say tighty whities kill sperm b/c it holds their 'man parts' to close..... but again I dont really know

Oooh I think it *can* have an impact (swimmies will be slower) but I don't know if 20mins would be over the threshhold. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're having trouble, if that's the case I'd have him stop altogether!

Yup. Tell him to lay off the tub for a while. Also, if he can wear boxers, that will be better for the spermies too!! Good luck! Lots of baby dust to ya!

YES it is... Ron Jeremy said when he was trying to get his area nice and full he would run the coldest water possible over them to produce more of the swimmers in between takes...lol
