TY Cards & Xmas Cards?

I want to send both. Bad idea? Should I hold the TY cards till after the holidays? Or should I add a 'Happy holidays' sentence or 2 to the TY cards and only send those? AND, if I do both, would it be tacky to send an Xmas card with a wedding pic on it? I am obsessed with pictures of us and it's so me, but I don't want it to come off as 'Oh ym god does she really think we need to see another picture', ya know?

I was going through the same dilemma. I am going to wait to mail out my TY's. I was going to put the TY in the same envelope as the X'mas card....but then I decided not to.

I am going through the same dilemma -- I really wanted to do holiday cards for our first christmas married but wasn't sure if I should hold off since we haven't done our TY's yet. Grrr And I didn't want to combine the 2 either.

I also was thinking of doing a photo holiday card with a wedding pic -- or maybe a cute honeymoon pic. But I figure why not use a wedding pic you pay so much for them right

Can you tell I am no good at making decisions

Personally, I wouldn't be offended in receiving two separate pieces of correspondence around the same time.

If you wanted to choose between the holiday cards and the thank you notes, then the TYs are more important. Yes, given the time of year, I think it's OK to add a seasonal greeting. I don't think holiday cards and TY notes should be combined. which from your OP you weren't going to do anyway.

No. You might want to use different pics for both. Although using the same pic would be more funny than tacky.

Me too!

send both... but don't combine them. I don't think you have to wait to send one before / after the other....

I wouldn't put anything wedding in the holiday cards.... they should be only about the holidays and the recipient

I am sending them both out separating within the next two weeks. I was thinking of sending them out together, but I thought this might be tacky. I need to send the TYs out before the holiday because some family members have been asking for them Ugh!!

Same here. I plan on sending them out after the holidays.

We are in the process of sending both!!
