TYC wording?

So after 8 months I am finally getting around to writing out my thank you's. How do you word a thank for someone who gave a gift but did not attend. For others I've been writing ' Thank you for your generous gift and sharing our special day with us'. I don't want to write just thank you for the gift, but I can't write sorry you couln't be there. I'm stumped. Help please.

Re: TYC wording?

Here are a couple of my texts.

For those that sent something but were not invited (friends of our parents mostly):

Dear X,

Thank you so much for your lovely wedding gift of the silver sleigh bell ornament! We can’t wait to use it next year on our tree! Our wedding day could not have been more wonderful and being remembered by special friends like you makes it all the more sweet. Thank you again and we hope that you have a New Year filled with blessings, happiness and good health.

For those invited but could not attend:

Dear Aunt X & Uncle Y,

Thank you so much for your very generous wedding gift. It is going straight into a savings account where it will hopefully grow for a bit and come to be part of a down payment for our first home. We were sorry that you were not able to join us, but your thoughtfulness meant so much to us. Thank you again for everything and we hope that this New Year is filled with blessings, happiness and good health for you and all your family.

Love,

HTH!
