ugh...

So the woman I hired to pick my son up from school (and drive him to after school care) got really ill right before she was supposed to start.

My plan was to leave work (in LI) pick son up from school in queens and bring him to after school care in queens... then head back to work...

Kind of my *lunch hour* though I really dont take an hour for lunch. I work alone so my schedule is flexible.

So far, Ive been able to just leave and stay with him after school/ and have another friend watch him.

Today was the first day I actually came BACK to work.

It took me TWO HOURS.... The traffic was HORRIBLE... I dont know what Im going to do. I can't keep sneaking out of work early (even though technically I can leave by 3... I get in around 8 and dont take a lunch break)

I dont know what Im going to do, this is going to KILL me (and my car)

Sorry things are not going as planned. Does he have any friends in his class that he can go home with? Can you offer to pay the kids mom to watch him instead of the after school program. I don't know you situation just figured I'd throw out some ideas.
I have a sister that is quite a bit younger then me. I used to have 5 kids afterschool everyday because their parents worked. I would do home work give them snacks and then their parents would come to pick them up.
