Ughhh...Merry Effin Christmas...
So Christmas was going great this year, lots of nice presents everyone in our new home. Well the guys were up in the game room playing pool and I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready with the 'girls' when My MIL starts screaming from the bathroom FIRE FIRE FIRE......
I ran into the bathroom and it was filled with black smoke. DH came running down. Somehoe one of the candles that was lit in the bathroom had fibers in it that caught and all the wax melted and went down the sink.
It was horrible. The sink and drain is filled with wax, DH is trying to fix that now, the walls and my wainscoating are covered in soot as are all of the ceiling and worse the fire ate right through the crappy laminate countertop and into the cabinets....
My dad works in a tile/granite warhouse and is going to get us something nice and install it but way to spend Christmas...
BAH HUMBUGH!!!
PS. I have to say we were very lucky because DH says there was a bottle of my perfume right near the candle and a few more minutes and it would have ignited and been light a bomb and could have burned down the side of the house.........
Hope everyone else's Christmas was more mellow. I'll try and post some pics of my disaster tomorrow! I'm having another glass of wine and i'm off to bed!
