I got the new license yesterday and it has my new picture, and new name, but the signature is my old one w/my maiden name....
Do you think it's a problem? I know they obviously messed up, but I seriously don't want to go down there again!

hmm, I wonder if you call them!!! I don't think you can have your maiden signature on the license with your married name

it doesnt matter- half the signature is cut of f of my new license
i dont know anyone that uses my drivers license to check signatures..
i spent 4 hours at the DMV- there is no way i am going back ! and either should you

Did you guys get your marriage licenses already? I thought we needed it to change our names at DMV....

I went first thing this morning to change my license, registration and title and I finished everything in 18 minutes.

it took long because i had to get a CT license, change my name and get my registration name changed... it was the WORST 4 hours ever..
and it was CT DMV_ which is- suprisingly- WORSE than NY

I was in and out at the DMV...fortunately, but I AM NOT GOING BACK!
I spoke to someone, and they said that they 'effed' up b/c the girl didn't process my picture and signature together, and that I'd have to go back in.
I told her that I wasn't going to do that, especially b/c it was a mistake they made.
Oh well!

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. For future reference: I try to go to the DMV (in Norwalk) on Saturday right before they close. Shockingly, the employees work faster around closing time b/c they want to get out of there.

I went to the DMV in CT and I needed the original marriage certificate. I'm pretty sure the NY DMVs also require you to bring your original marriage certificate. I also needed the original marriage certificate for the SS office.

I DID GO TO NORWALK- BUT YOU ARE RIGHT! I GOT THERE AT 930 ON SATURDAY- AND WAS THERE UNTIL 1230 - WHEN THEY CLOSED! AT THE END THE LAAST STEP- REGISTRATION - TOOK 5 SECONDS- BECASUE THEY WERE ABOUT TO CLOSE
I SHOULD HAVE JUST WENT AT 1200- O WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF THERE IN A HALF HOUR
