I was watching Tyra and they were talking about 'scientific' facts on what & what not to do on a first date.
Well the guy was talking about what to wear and said that you should show off your body & skin since guys are more interested in a woman's figure rather than her face. And then he goes on to say that if women go out at the time of the month where they are at peak fertility (while ovulating, 14 days before period), they will be more attractive according to studies. Their voice will be more attractive to men and they'll even SMELL better to men. All according to scientific research.
Hmmmm.... that is the weirdest thing I've EVER heard. I think I always feel at my WORST during that time. I get crampy and start feeling bloated. Maybe that's just me tho.
Do you believe this 'scientific research' is true??

Hmmm... thats very interesting and definitely a little odd. Also, don't many of the *good* guys out there WANT you to cover up your body so it leaves a little more to the imagination and surprises for later? I mean, I would never even THINK to show a lot of skin on a first date! I'd totally think the guy would think I am a hoochie mama!

so true. I definitely wore NORMAL clothes on my first date. I'm just not that type of girl to ever wear things that are too revealing. I don't think the 'hoochie mama' is the type of woman that DH was ever looking for anyway. lol. stupid.
I hate stuff like this where it makes it seem as tho you've got to have a perfect body in order to be loved. What is that? A little shallow, ya think? And how he said that it's all about your figure, nothing to do with your face. Then why do we bother wearing makeup? lol. This whole thing irritated me to watch.

its definitely true, biologically speaking since that is ovulation and when you can get pregnant - thank god i dont start PMSing FOURTEEN days before my period. . . Imagine?! LOL

Ok but he is saying physical attraction is everything then. I dont agree with this guy. Even about the natural phermones or whatever....what is his saying that you should just jump in bed together??? Hmm I feel it is better to go on dates at other times of the month...that way you know it is not just physical and that you actually get along with this person. Also so what is he saying schedule your dates around your cycle, come on!
Ok also if it is someone you met already you know you are attracted to them already. I agree to dress nice, but not scandalous and it tight clothes! Gee!

I actually just watched a show on TLC about physical attraction and they showed a study that proved women are more attractive during ovulation! Everything from skin tone (glowing) to their voice! It sounds crazy but they they showed pictures of women and they DID look better. They had men listen to voices of the same women ovulating and not and they liked the ovulating voice better! crazy

Basically that guy is saying that he wants you to look like a model and have a huge rack, b/c men don't look at your face, they look at your tittays. That is what is most important when it comes to dating.
I have heard about the pheremones thing, but I really think that physical attraction is about 90% of the chemistry between 2 people. Just my opinion.
