unclaimed funds

I amused myself for a good hour here at work trying to see if me or anyone I know has unclaimed funds waiting for me. So far I'm still poor but if any of you are interested here is the link to the website. Search last name first and don't bother entering in a city, it limits the results.

yea me neither but I found a few people I do know on there. I sent them e-mails and told them I want 10%

no one I know has anything waiting for them. I check all my friends and family (b/c i'm nosy) and nothing. Booooo

Found MIL's retirement accounts that she forgot about. She is since passed away, but hopefully FIL will be receiving the check soon. Took 6 months to get to this point but well worth it because it is significant money.

BOTH of my grandparents are on their but they have since passed...can we still collect?

yes! I think one of their children can collect. If you click on the link by their name there's a form to fill out, it probably has instructions somewhere.

YES ! But one of their children must claim the funds. You'll need copies of the death certificates and proof of relationship to whoever claims the funds.
Takes a while to claim, and you don't know how much is in there until ALL the paperwork is done.

I told DH that I get a finders fee for doing ALL the paperwork for him and his dad.

haha, I found my mom on there- amounts due for uclaimed goods. But its her current address..weird.

As for me, I know where my last dollar is. I dont have enough $ to have any hidden somewhere lol

lol. dh was just looking thru a list like this for Colorado residents - but of course we get nothing He found his cousin's name on there tho.

nothing for me

i did this a few months ago and found my brother on there.. so he filled it out and found out it was a paycheck or something he never cashed and it turned out to be like $400.. nothing serious but hey found $$!!!
