Unedited Video?
Is it standard for the videographer to give you the raw footage as well as your edited video? My BM got her raw footage not that long after her wedding, and I am wondering if I need to ask my videographer for it or if I get it automatically. And about how long do videos usually take? Six months?

Re: Unedited Video?
I think every company is different so I would check your contract. I got my copy of the unedited 3 weeks after my wedding when I picked up my proofs. I got my edited and 10-minute company tapes and dvd's about 3-4 weeks ago (but I was very late in submitting my music selections).

Re: Unedited Video?
Some times it is included in the package but not always. I paid extra to get my unedited video.

Re: Unedited Video?
I called and they said that our 'edited' video will basically include everything that he filmed, including the entire church mass
Wont that be long? We do have an option to put it on a DVD, so we can skip around, but that costs $300 (why, oh why does everything have added expenses)! I guess I will wait until we see it- or should I say, until I see it, as there is no way my DH will sit through a video of the entire ceremony

Re: Unedited Video?
Sounds about right, they usually just edit out the bad stuff and add the music.I think what you would like is a 30 min recap of the day that alot of other companies do. Maybe you can ask how much extra is that and if they even do that.

Re: Unedited Video?
We also got an unedited video in our package for free as well. It's very long (from what I hear b/c only my mom has seen it) since they film the entire mass and reception. Our package also included 2 edited DVDs.Welcome New Vendors
