Update on my upstairs situation!

We tried talking to the A-holes upstairs again and it didn't go well at all.... and apparently they bought the kids many more rolling toys for christmas bc that is all we have heard since.. starting at 6am it sounds like someone is constantly dragging luggage across the floor. SO so annoying!

So DH has set up his drum set... I know its mean but we dont care anymore. The drums are SO loud you can hear them from the other side of our complex. Its payback time. I don't care anymore. Its officially a war. I wish it didnt have to come to this but we tried.

They say that they are going to 'look' at houses in the spring. They have no immediate plans to move.

We have asked them again to please try and just keep the noise down in the bedroom above us on weekends until 9am.. I dont think thats asking much. If your kids want to run around put them in the damn living room. Its not alot to ask its only for Saturday & Sunday... and for a few hours!!

She says ' listen, when we get up in the morning the last thing we are concerned about is you and your comfort level.. They need to get dressed and eat and play, they are little boys that want to play. Like i said before If you have an issue bring it up with the managment' Thats pretty much word for word. I tore her a new one and walked away.

'Managment' wont do anything we have tried EVERYTHING all they say is that they built and soundproofed to code etc.

OMG Jen!! What a fawking b!tch!! I dont know how you didnt slap her! You better start banging on those drums at 12am!! I'll come by and help you!

OMg that's horrible.

I'm going to sound like a terrible person here but have you ever hit your ceiling with a broomstick or something or maybe held speakers up against the ceiling? You should do that, directly below their bedroom at 6am on a weekend...when they complain you can tell that you guys want to dance every Saturday morning and the last thing you are concerned with is their comfort level.

That was rude rude rude what the lady said to you!! She should at least be considerate and also teach her kids to be considerate as well!! I don't see a reason why they can't play in the living room instead?? She's being difficult because she's apparently a miserable person.

I'd blast the music and bang those drums from midnight to 3am. The kids will be up all night and sleep in the next morning See how she likes it when your schedule starts making her lose sleep.

After our little altercation this weekend DH and I decided to play guitar hero (yes we are mature) with the volume on 100 (the loudest the tv could go) AND we sang along to it on the top of our lungs. 20 minutes later they came out of their house, packed up their car, gave us a nasty look through the window and left. I am sure they didnt appreciate me screaming 'John you f*cking rock' after everysong but then again im not really 'concerned with their comfort level'.

I grew up in an apartment building in queens and all i know is that my mom & dad taught my sisters & i that since we had neighbors below us, we had to respect them and not jump up & down or play music/tv loud

I would make it a point to play loud dirty songs with lots of curses.......get some gangsta rap music

Get every musical instrument possible and start making noise! F them. If they have no regards for you guys, you should have none for them.

My mom reminded me that in middle school I played the clarinet and its still in her attic if I want to take it home
